KIA EV9 Standard Highlights

Car enthusiasts eagerly await the arrival of the Kia EV9, an exciting electric SUV that will soon be available at dealerships in the US. Recently, the Korean automaker released a comprehensive list of all the standard and optional features that will be available across the different models of the SUV lineup, making it easier for customers to choose the right model based on their preferences.

2024 Kia EV9

The Kia EV9 will be available in five different variations, namely Light RWD, Light Long Range RWD, Wind AWD, Land AWD, and GT-Line AWD. Each of these variants will offer six to seven seats. Although the features of the EV9 have been revealed, the price details are yet to be disclosed by Kia. The EV9 is the same size as its combustion-engine counterpart, the Telluride, with a length of approximately 197 inches.

The Kia EV9 Light RWD

The Kia EV9 Light RWD is the top contender in the electric car category, with a seating capacity of seven individuals. Equipped with a 76.1kWh battery, it can go up to 223 miles on a single charge, providing ample driving capability. It boasts a power output of 215 horsepower, making it a high-performing vehicle. Although acceleration figures have not been disclosed yet, the EV9 Light RWD can tow up to 2,000 pounds. Even the entry-level model is impressive, featuring 8-way power-adjustable heated and ventilated front seats, LED projection lights, wireless phone charging, and Kia’s innovative Digital Key system.

The Kia EV9 Light Long Range RWD

The Kia EV9 Light Long Range RWD is a spacious vehicle that can accommodate up to six people. It is equipped with a larger 99.8 kWh battery that enables it to travel up to 300 miles on a single charge. With a horsepower of 201, it can go from 0 to 60 mph in just 7.8 seconds. Additionally, it has a towing capacity of up to 2,000 pounds. The Light Long Range RWD version has some extra features like second-row captain’s chairs and a front-row sunroof, in addition to all the features available in the regular Light trim.

The Kia EV9 Wind AWD

The EV9 Wind AWD is a luxurious and high-performance vehicle. It runs on a 99.8kWh battery and has a range of 270 miles. With 379 horsepower, it delivers robust performance. The Kia EV9 Wind AWD offers many amenities, including a heat pump, dual sunroof, heated steering wheel, and sporty silver roof rails, taking luxury to a new level. An upgrade called Boost Mode is also available, which can reduce the 0-to-60 time to just 4.5 seconds, making the vehicle even more powerful.

The Kia EV9 Land AWD

Upgrading to the Land AWD trim level is when the EV9 starts to feel like a luxurious SUV. The Land AWD comes with several premium features, such as heated and ventilated second-row captain’s chairs, a premium driver seat with a power leg rest, a Meridian sound system, interior ambient lighting, and Kia’s “Digital Grille.”

Similar to the Wind AWD trim level, the Land AWD has an optional Boost Mode upgrade. Additionally, there is an available towing package that increases the rating to 5,000 pounds and a Relaxation Package that provides second-row passengers with reclining chairs and footrests.

The Kia EV9 GT-Line AWD

The EV9 range’s top-of-the-line model is the GT-Line AWD, boasting an impressive 379 horsepower and accelerating from 0 to 60 mph in just 4.5 seconds while maintaining the 99.8kWh battery. This premium trim level boasts a commanding presence with its 21-inch wheels, roof rack, heads-up display, and Kia’s Smart Parking Assistant. The GT-Line AWD seamlessly combines sportiness and luxury and also comes equipped with all the features of the Land AWD. For a touch of elegance, consumers can opt for the Relaxation Package, which includes lounge-style seats for the second row.
